Stevie G started out piano lessons at an early age in his hometown of Brantford, Ontario. This led him to study music education at the University of Western Ontario, where he met many great musicians. He studied classical piano, and helped form the Peas. He is instrumental in the Peas' sound, and is responsible for writing many of their songs. His influences include Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, and early recordings from the Motown label.
