Born and raised in the nation's capital, Dony has played the bass for most of his life. Following in his late father's footsteps, Dony first adopted the "instrument of kings" in mid 1997, and that first bass is still his primary instrument, a Vintage 1967 Fender Precision. His studies in performance led him to enroll at Western in 2003. Personally, Dony is an experienced and well-rounded musician, having played with many different ensembles, travelling to study with renowned experts on his instrument, and writing, directing, and conducting the score for a musical.
